About Us
About Mari-Linn School
Nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, Mari-Linn serves the communities of Lyons, Mehama, and Stayton.
Mari-Linn is the hub of the community where people of all ages go to learn, share, and celebrate. Mari-Linn has seen many generations of families walk through its doors. The staff, parents, and students work together to create a school focused on academic achievement and growth in a wam, caring, and accepting climate.
Mari-Linn is a Positive Behavior Support school with three rules: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe. Matrices of expected behaviors are posted in every classroom and common area, including our cafeteria, library, computer lab, hallways, and restrooms. Students are recognized for exhibiting these behaviors individually, as a class, and as a whole school. We celebrate successes quarterly at an assembly where students are recognized for their achievements both academically and behaviorally.
There is a strong community support as evidenced by amazing attendance at music performances, PTO meetings, events including the Annual Pancake Breakfast, Literacy Night, Science Engineering Night, and Parent Night, to name a few.
